Swapno Puran

Commonly, it demands a long experience to hunt down a big dream into ground reality!  But, it hardly matters, if a person or an organization is deep-rooted to its mission! The Swapno Puran Welfare Trust (SPT) belongs to the category-2 here. This is a new born charitable trust of Kolkata, just rounded-up with the first year of its birth. Paradoxically, it has already earned its multi-folded credentials in terms of social welfare and reforms, since last 5 years! More even, SPT is glad to have the guidance and tie-up with the internationally renowned organization RBRF-Nature India Group (www.rbrf.in).

The trust itself refers to a dream and founded by a by-heart social worker Ms. Mousumi Majumdar (Basu), the President and Chief Functionary Officer (MT&CFO). Her deep-rooted interest on social services through women safety, security and empowerment has turned SPT to become a prominent milestone in the development sector of West Bengal. This is worthwhile to mention that there is a popular proverb in English language, e.g. Be careful what you want, you will surely get it!! It comes true in case of SPT too. Mr. Samik G, IUCN-CEC has kindly agreed to be the Chief Advisor and Consultant to SPT. His enormous works on environmental protection, wildlife conservation and rural women empowerment for the last three decades has turned him to an international icon and acclaimed by the honorable President of India, twice a times!

SPT works on his site-specific micro-planning with a most pragmatic and holistic approaches, by the E-RAN (Extensive Remote Area Network). SPT approaches to all the responsible citizens of India for their holistic participation in the mission. The mission of the trust stands on four basic pillars as follows:

ENLIGHTMENT stands as the first pillar of its missionary as well as visionary structure of SPT. It will provide an extra safety and security to the poor rural women, who face several problems during the evening and night due to the darkness! Gifting Solar Lantern will minimize their problems to a great extent! You are cordially invited to join us as a Council Member and to stand for a genuine social reform.
